This building period of the so called "Gründerzeit" - Pre-Art Nouveau - was one of the most affluent in Europe (late 19th century and beginning of 20th century)- whereever the bombing of World War II left some streets in the big cities of European countries you can find these wonderful houses which once were the sign for wealth and self-confidence...
