fot. Fio A desert in Gliwice? Why not! The cactus collection in the City Palm House - a good object to practice macro photography ;) If you want to take a virtual trip to the most exotic place in Gliwice click here!
Flora comes in such seemingly infinite variety. Thank you for capturing some of the most intriguing, and perhaps earliest examples of plant life, and sharing them with us.
I am so glad to see cactus in your area. I am sure it must seem exotic to folks in your city. I have many photos of cactus and the Chihuly on my site, which you have already enjoyed before. Take one home and care for the cactus. They mostly need sunshine and just a little water. I am enjoying following your website.

We called this kind of cacti the mother-in-leaw seat ;-)
Now, wait a minute. If he's got the camera, who took the picture?
Nice that you can experience the prickly stuff that grows in other parts of the world...
LOL@Juergen! I love this shot!
This photo is very nicely composed!
A really great shot! It's always fun to photograph a photographer.
I assume the cactii are in a covered garden.
Cacti on crossfire! Nice shot, fine collection.
In italian the same cactus is "cuscino della suocera" (mother in law's pillow)!
I'm glad that you like our palm house. This is my favourite place to relax especially in winter:)
Juergen, Vogon Poet -
in Poland we say "tron teściowej" = trono della suocera = mother in law's throne!
